Viljoen spins his way into SA team

Felixton College cricketer makes the SA U17 Rural Cricket team.

FELIXTON College cricketer Reikert Viljoen stamped his mark on the U17 SA Rural Cricket Week held in Klerksdorp between 10-15 December and as reward was selected for the SA U17 Rural Cricket team after being ranked second in the bowling department and third as the Most Valuable Player of the tournament.

The 16-year-old managed to claim 15 wickets in 39.5 overs for 105 runs.

The spinner bowled 11 maidens in his 5 games with a run rate of 6.6 runs per wicket.

The KZN team came up against Free State, Border Village, Kei U19, Eastern Province and Boland.

Felixton College teammate Michael Dalais also represented KZN at the tournament.
