CHIEF Japanese Shotokan Karate Association (JSKA) instructor at the South Africa Karate Academy, Sensei Soon Pretorius, had the honour of awarding Sensei Gerhard de Jager with his Second Dan Black Belt after grading at the JSKA Academy in Pretoria.
Sensei Gerhard was also awarded a Japanese Shotokan Karate national qualification license as an examiner based on the performance and knowledge at the grading test that aligns with the JSKA World Federation Standardisation under the banner of JSKA South Africa
This annual event sees leading shotokan karate students from throughout South Africa attend this prestige grading and standardisation event.
Sensei Gerhard of (SKAZ) Shotokan Karate Academy Zululand dojo in eShowe has been studying the art of karate for the past nine years under the guidance of Sensei Pretorius.
The eShowe karate dojo is a registered dojo and is also affiliated to the JSKA.
