Richards Bay man murdered in his flat

He was stabbed twice in the chest and died at the scene.

A MANHUNT is underway after a Richards Bay man was stabbed to death in Arboretum on Friday morning.

The 37-year-old man was apparently attacked at 3.50am, inside his apartment at Nandi Mews on Soap Berry street.

The victim was stabbed twice in the chest and died at the scene.

His body was found on the staircase outside his flat.

According to the police, perpetrators broke the precast wall and entered through the window.

Police suspect the murder was a robbery that went awry.

Richards Bay SAPS spokesperson, Capt Debbie Ferreira, said no arrest have been made.

‘A case of murder and house robbery was opened with the police. The matter is being investigated by our detective team,’ she said.
