Fire at Empangeni chicken restaurant
Restaurant patrons got more than just flamed grilled chicken.
HUNGRY folk who visited Nandos in Empangeni CBD at lunch time got a shock after the signboard caught alight.
According to the manager of the fast food outlet, the fire was caused by an electrical fault.
The Fire Department were quick to respond and the fire was extinguished.
The blaze destroyed the ‘N’ in the restaurant’s name.
There were no injuries, however staff and patrons were evacuated for about 20 minutes.
