Bubbles and Ferns claim titles

DEFENDING champions Tiny Bubbles (ladies) and Black Ferns (mens) not only went through the 21st annual Empangeni Rugby Football Club touch rugby league unbeaten, but also were crowned kings and queens of the rugby fields for the 2014 season, after dominating this year’s league.

Teams gathered at Mick Kelly Park on Saturday for the finals day of the popular competition, due to rain postponing the day last weekend.

Tiny Bubbles smashed Select Sports 7-0 in the ladies finals, with Black Ferns beating Serious Acsion 6-1 in the mens showdown.
