Grantleigh cricket squad on top

THE Grantleigh cricket First XI was crowned the uThungulu District 20/20 champions after cruising through round one unbeaten in the CSA School 20/20 league.

The local lads finished on top after claiming a 110 run victory over the Zululand Development team, a 17 run win over Richards Bay High School and a 25 run victory over Felixton College.

Grantleigh then progressed through to the second round, where they beat Kingsway High School by 7 runs, but had to cancel their fixture against Glenwood High School owing to exams.
