THERE was a spirit of euphoria among employees of the Department of Social Development’s Ngwelezane office.
This after the news that the department has finalised all arrangement that will see workers moving into new office buildings.

This move has also been welcomed by the National Union of Public Servants and Allied Workers (NUPSAW),.
The union’s Regional Secretary Mduduzi Ntuli said Ngwelezane’s welfare employees will have their dignity restored after being subjected to horrendous conditions for about five months.
Ntuli praised the intervention of KZN MEC for Social Development, Weziwe Thusi, who delegated a special task team to investigate the matter.
The Ngwelezane welfare office building was closed down by the Department of Labour in July after declaring it unsafe.
