Mine scoops clean air award
RBM produces titanium minerals, high purity iron, rutile and zircon for customers across the globe.
LOCAL mineral sands mine Richards Bay Minerals (RBM) last week walked away with a National Association of Clean Air (NACA) award for keeping its air quality unpolluted despite its heavy beneficiation and exploration operations in Zululand.
The company produces titanium minerals, high purity iron, rutile and zircon for customers across the globe.
RBM General Manager Peter Eaglen happily accepted the accolade at the NACA gala dinner held in Durban.
‘This is indeed an honour for us. The recognition of our effort to manage air quality speaks to our group vision of making a difference for our stakeholders, but especially providing confidence to our important local communities of our protection of their environment.
‘This award helps inform us that we are heading in the right direction in terms of our duty of caring for the environment,’ Eaglen said.
