A MASSIVE lightning storm over Richards Bay caused major traffic disruptions for rush hour homebound vehicles between 5pm and 7pm today.
Meerensee was particularly hard hit, with storm water drains unable to cope with the deluge. The section of Kreuwelkring between the Caravan Park and The Ridge was virtually impassable, while overflowing drains spilled over into shops at the Meerensee Mall.
However, in good spirit tenants pitched in and mopping up operations soon restored normality.
