NOTHING seems to be impossible for local powerlifting sensation Zane ‘Big Z’ Ison, who managed to smash three world records at the 2014 GPC Powerlifting World Championships in Argentina, despite tearing his bicep in the deadlifting event.
The 46-year-old defended his world title with success and landed back on South African soil yesterday (Sunday).
Zane managed 345kg in the squat (new world record), 198 kg in the bench press (new world record), 280kg deadlift (tore his bicep) and 823kg total (new world record).
