THE Melmoth and Gingindlovu police arrested, but still searching for more suspects who held up businesses in the two towns yesterday.
A Cash and Carry outlet was hit in Melmoth. It has been reported that the getaway vehicle and some of the suspects have been arrested.
Around the same time, a supermarket in Gingindlovu was hit and the suspects escaped after a shoot-out. Police are following leads and expect arrests soon.
The month-end grant payouts are believed to be the motivation behind the robberies.
