RICHARDS Bay’s Martinus Fick managed to win the 10th annual Nseleni River fishing competition (Hippo Hollow) hook, line and sinker after landing a 14.95kg barble and reeled in a R10 000 cheque for his efforts.
A total of 40 boats and 131 anglers tried their luck.
Fish caught and weighed on the day where only barble.
Youngster Tyran Palmer managed to scoop the junior title.
A percentage of the money raised on the day went towards anti-rhino poaching and the Nseleni Nature Reserve.
