Reward offered after robbery
Two men held up staff at Bayside Lodge in Empangeni.

A R5 000 reward is being offered to anyone who has information leading to the arrest of two suspects related to an armed robbery at Bayside Lodge in Empangeni on Monday morning.
A substantial amount of money was taken when two men held two staff members including the manager at gunpoint at 10.48am.
According to Empangeni police the suspects, pretending to be clients, reportedly came in about 10 minutes apart requesting room rates before waiting at reception.
When the manager and staff member entered the foyer, one suspect pointed a firearm at the manager, demanding the money.
They then accosted the other staff member, holding him at gunpoint against a wall before hitting him with a pistol and ordering other staff to go to the back of the reception before making off with an undisclosed amount of cash.
One suspect was wearing a blue overall and is believed to be in his 40s while the second wore a casual brown sweater and is believed to be in his 20s.
‘We urge members of the public to assist us with any information that can lead to the whereabouts of the suspects and their subsequent arrest. We will follow-up on any new leads,’ said Captain Mbongeni Mdlalose.
