Coins and collectables at Country Club

Zululanders had the opportunity to have their coins, medals and collectables valued.

ZULULANDERS were in for a treat this week when Cape Town-based Africa Star, a shop for war memorabilia, visited the Empangeni Country Club to give free valuations of coins, medals and collectibles.

A wide array of first date covers, stamp collections, masonic items, silver tea sets, spoons and coins from a number of different eras, were seen, examined and sometimes sold.

Africa Star’s Mark Vincenzi said he had a busy two days with a number of people coming to see him with some very interesting items.

Africa Star has been trading in coins, medals and military memorabilia for nine years.

‘For the beginner collector to the more advanced, there is always an unusual item of interest to be discovered and that’s what we were doing here in Empangeni,’ Vicenze said
