Revving up the engines of goodwill

'Man’s true wealth is the good he does in this world' - Mohammed

IN all the history of mankind there has never been a time when kindness, unselfishness and care for others were not considered essential qualities.

These enduring qualities were aptly epitomised by the participants and sponsors of the Dice4DICE classic car pageant enjoyed by thousands last weekend. The more than generous proceeds handed to D.I.C.E (Do I Care Enough) will filter throughout Zululand to bring sustenance, better living conditions and uplifitment to the lives of so many disadvantaged individuals.

Above all the recipients will be encouraged to face the adversities of life knowing that somebody cares about their well-being.

It often takes one or two people to start a trickle of water to become a river.

Zahid and Jeenah Hassim of Mayfair Gearbox did just that when they brought the classic car pageant into being three years ago, and the event has grown under their stewardship.Again this year, they rallied the participants and the sponsors and devoted hours upon hours of commitment and work to make the event what it is today.

To these two stalwarts and to those who got involved and contributed in any way to ensure the success of this venture, the DICE organisers and their parent company the Zululand Observer offer their profound and appreciative thanks.
