AWB back in town

Controversial group meets in Richards Bay tomorrow.

CONSIDERED by many be an anachronism in today’s socio-political scenario, the AWB (Afrikaner Weerstandsbeweging) will address a public meeting in Richards Bay tomorrow night (Thursday).

According to the movement’s leader, Steyn van Rönge he will speak on issues such as farm murders, the economy and the aims and objectives of the AWB.

Advertising for tomorrow’s meeting caused controversy as posters giving the venue as the International Policing Association (IPA) at ZCBF Park might have given a false impression.

‘The hall was booked by a security company and we had no idea it was for an AWB function,’ said an IPA spokesperson.

‘We totally distance ourselves from this event.’
