Gracefully scooping medals

The Bay Rhythmic Gymnastics Club receives 23 podium places in Durban.

THE Bay Rhythmic Gymnastics Club scooped a fistful of medals at the Glenwood Club competition held at the Rhythmic Academy in Durban on 2 August.

The local club received 23 podium places, which included ten gold, nine silver and four bronze medals.

The girls made their coach and parents proud with their standout performances.

Flexibility, nimbleness and gracefulness were the keys to success for these young ladies.

Results

Level 1 – U6 gold – Carla Pienaar and silver – Mia Pienaar; U7 gold – Lana Swart and bronze – Johanné Jacobsohn; U8 silver – Quanika Wright and U9 silver – Dené Deetlefs.

Level 2 – U6 gold – Micola Chiolé; U7 gold – Danielle de Jager; U9 gold – Amoré Swart and silver – Kieziah Logan; U11 silver – Sintiché Barnard; Over 11 gold – McCaila Stander.

Level 3 – U9 gold – Krysten Preen; U11 gold – Alicia van Zyl; Over 11- silver Ntando Xulu and bronze – Andrea Jooste.

Level 4 – U11 gold – Faith Mthenjana and silver – Jordynn Preen; U13 gold – Anmari van Niekerk.

Level 5 – U11 silver – Alike Janse van Rensburg and bronze – Ilke Janse van Rensburg; U13 silver – Abby Farran and bronze – Kerbé-Paege Calasse.
