Veldenvlei make it 2-0

Budding Bafana Bafana players hit the field.

VELDENVLEI Primary School made it two out of two against Heuwelland Primary School on Thursday at Heuwelland, when the visitors won the U11A and U13A boys soccer matches.

The U11 lads got the action underway, with the visitors dominating ball and field possession, resulting in a 4-0 drumming.

Papa Makwena, Sibusiso Ncube, Kwazi Mthethwa and Lusanda Mtshali all scored for Veldenvlei.

The visitors took a 3-0 lead going into the half time break, but playing into the wind in the second half, disabled their attack which resulted in only one goal being scored.

The last game of the day was the first team boys, which saw both teams having a crack at the goal box.

But without anyone finding the back of the net, the half time score read 0-0.

The second half proved the same, with both sides testing the goal-keepers who were more than up for the challenge.

But Veldenvlei got onto the scoreboard through an own goal scored by Sibonga Mpanza.

Stricker Nhlala Ncubu then put one in the back of the Heuwelland net to end the game at 2-0.

The action on the field was great, with teams showcasing great passing, individual skills and solid strikes.
