CLEO was not just a donkey. She was not just an animal. She was a shining example of unconditional tolerance, patience and love for all the people she met.
These qualities, in addition to her uncanny ability to do mathematics, made her extremely special.
Cleo is irreplaceable and needs to be remembered in a special way.
May I appeal to each of the many people to whom she gave pleasure to write an account of their meeting with her and to send it, together with copies of any photos they have which include Cleo, to: hans.ethne@telkomsa.net.
These will be gathered into a book to be kept in remembrance of a very special north African donkey.
Dayspring Farmyard is not a large commercial undertaking.
It is a haven where compassionate people take in injured and unwanted animals and care for them.
The loss of the storage shed, stables, four horses and four donkeys is a great blow to them.
Please support the rebuilding efforts.
