Win tickets to Theuns Jordaan

South African singer, Theuns Jordaan will perform at Umfolozi Casino Resort on 15 August at 8pm.

Jordaan’s singing is popular due to his deeply emotive bass voice. His music has been said to be faintly bluesly, radio-friendly, with his lyrics infused with a mournful love of South Africa.

His first career moves had him spend long nights at restaurants in the area around the University of Stellenbosch, where he had been studying industrial psychology.

Having had immersed himself in the local music scene, Theuns started composing his own lyrics, which resulted in five songs in his debut album, Vreemde Stad.

He launched his second album, Tjailatyd at the Aardklop music festival in 2002, which  sold more than 150, 000 records.

He went on to record three more albums; Seisoen, Roeper, Kouevuur and Tribute to the poets.

Juanita du Plessis joined him in recording two albums, Bring jou hart and Heart full of dreams.

Watch the musician in the Jabulani Dome at 8pm. Doors open at 7pm.
