World breastfeeding week
Breast milk 'pumpathon' campaign at the Lower Umfolozi Regional War Memorial Hospital TOMORROW.

WITH World Breastfeeding Week underway (1 – 7 August), this year’s theme focuses on the importance of promoting and supporting breastfeeding.
The fast growing increase of vulnerable infants calls for immediate action and breast milk donors are encouraged to attend a breast milk pumpathon campaign at the Lower Umfolozi Regional War Memorial Hospital tomorrow (Tuesday).
Mothers who meet the requirements to donate breast milk will play a major role in assisting infants who are either born prematurely, have a low birth weight or who are orphaned.
Women will have to prove to be non-smokers and not use drugs or alcohol, be healthily lactating and maintain an overall healthy lifestyle. They will also have to agree to undergo screening procedures.
Play your part in saving a baby’s life by donating.
