Copper cable worth more than a million rand was stolen in Richards Bay.

ABOUT 13 tonnes of copper cable worth more than a million rand was stolen from a business premises in Harbour Arterial Road in Richards Bay last weekend.

This was reported by Richards Bay SAPS spokesperson, Captain Debbie Ferreira, who said the business targeted said that the substantial amount of cable was stolen some time from Friday to Monday.

All was in order at the time of leaving the premises on Friday and by Monday the cable had been stolen, an amazing feat given the sheer weight of the haul.
