New tourism logo for the City
Talented Graphic designer, Sifiso Mthethwa designed the new uMhlathuze Community Tourism Organisation.
THE newly-formed uMhlathuze Community Tourism Organisation (CTO) have settled on a logo that depicts the many attractions the City has to offer.
Talented Graphic designer, Sifiso Mthethwa of Empangeni was crowned the winner on Thursday at Umfolozi Casino Resort where he walked away with an array of prizes and the prestige of the title.
Ranging from water and sea-based activities to Zulu heritage, arts and crafts, wildlife, flora and fauna, industrial tourism and a host of others attractions, Mthethwa’s logo encompasses every aspect which represents the City.
CTO spokesperson, Sipho Mchunu, said City officials were happy with the logo and impressed at the quality of work.
‘The logo is unique, clean and tells a story of exactly what the City embodies,’
‘I would like to inform all local tourism businesses that they will now be able to register their company with the newly formed uMhlathuze CTO,’
‘This is according to the regulations that were promulgated on 13 May 2004 under the KZN Tourism Amendment Act 2000.
‘All tourism businesses are required to register with the local tourism organisation before they register with the KZN Department of Tourism,’ said Mchunu.
