A MAN, believed to be around 40 years of age, sustained serious injuries in a motorbike accident near the Tuzi Gazi Waterfront at 4.30pm on Tuesday.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash on Bridgetown Road.
On hearing the loud bang, residents in the area ran out to find the rider dazed on the pavement.
Ambulances from both Emergency Medical Rescue Services (EMRS) and ICE Medical Rescue attended the scene and managed to stabilise the victim.
He was taken to Ngwelezane Hospital where he is still recovering.
The cause of the accident is unknown.
