THE Zululand coast received a battering on Monday as extra high full moon spring tides coupled with strong winds saw waves of close to four metres pounding the shoreline.
And while the huge waves provided a spectacle for many who went to Alkantstrand to watch the swells break over the dolosse, conditions went against anglers on the final day of the Meerensee Boat Club’s 21 Species competition.
Skiboats were prevented from heading to the open sea due to the dangerous conditions.
