
HEFTY fines were imposed on two foreign nationals found guilty in the Richards Bay Magistrate’s Court for dealing in dagga and contravening the immigration act.
Nigerian national Boniface Nzekwe (33) and Congolese national Alid Muhaya (29) were fined R12 000 and R18 000 respectively, or face six and nine years imprisonment.
They were arrested on 18 January in the Richards Bay CBD and charged with unlawfully dealing in an undesirable dependence producing substance and being in the country without the necessary resident, work or spousal permits.
