Tough going for Equalizers
The Equalizers shot their way into fourth place and also won the prize for fastest game time.
THE local paint ball squad, Equalizers, struggled to find their feet at the second SARPL KZN 5man event recently, where some equipment failures hindered the team.
But thanks to Ryan Purvis from The Paintball Farm where the event was held just outside Pietermaritzburg, one of the team members was sorted out quickly with a loan marker from his private locker.
Two teams from East London travelled to compete and show their stuff, with team Coastal Legion winning the event and showing the KZN boys how its done.
The Equalizers shot their way into fourth place and also won the prize for fastest game time, winning a round in only one minute and thirty seconds.
Despite the team taking a ‘rare’ beating, the team spirit was up and they learned a lot from the tournament.
This event saw the Equalizers competing under their new sponsor, Roadmaster.
The team Members were Gerhard Heyneke, Tiaan Steenkamp, Abri Steenkamp, Damian Millingham, Steven Barnes, Ivan Preston, Johan Pretorius and Cornelius Badenhorst.
