The Queen of Clean
uThungulu Community Foundation and Imbumba Foundation donated personal hygiene items to Queen KaMsweli Primary School.
HISTORY was made for Nongoma communities when the uThungulu Community Foundation and Imbumba Foundation recently donated personal hygiene items to Queen KaMsweli Primary School.
This followed requests from the Patron of the foundation, His Majesty, King Goodwill Zwelithini.
uSuthu Primary School, Falaza High School and Musa LSEN School for children with special needs also received a donation of sanitary towels.
On average, a girl can miss up to 50 days of school owing to menstrual related challenges.
Her Royal Highness, Queen MaMchiza, expressed her interest towards focusing more on primary school girls being educated before they reach early stages of puberty.
The two non-profit foundations involved in this philanthropic practice expressed their gratitude to local individuals and organisations that continue to lend support to the non-profit sector.
The Imbumba Foundation runs a community programme called, ‘Caring for Girls’ which focuses on distributing sanitary towels to poor and mostly rural communities.
The uThungulu Community Foundation helped in accommodating the Boy Child Initiative, and operates on principles based on non-discrimination, and diversity.
Both foundations invite local private and public enterprises, big or small, to support this initiative to benefit more schools in and around Zululand.
