THIS letter is to inform all old Railway pensioners that the Department of Public Enterprises petitioned the Deputy Judge President regarding our court dates of 8 and 9 May and have asked for an extension of time to submit affidavits and arguments, which should have been done long ago.

Regrettably, despite the teams’ new strong objection, the court dates have been postponed to 21 and 22 July.

The Department of Public Enterprises is clearly dragging its feet and ignoring court papers in an effort to continue to delay our day in court.

This behaviour clearly shows no empathy for the struggling pensioners and also complete contempt of the justice system.

We however remain confident that justice will be done, so now it is a case of ‘vasbyt’.
