Parisian Paradise

A glamorous night for Grantleigh College Matric pupils

A night in paradise was enjoyed by Grantleigh College Grade 12 pupils during their recent matric ball.

A highlight on their calendar, the matric ball is an occasion enjoyed by the Grade 12s and their families alike.

Built on a fine tradition that has evolved since their first such occasions in 2003, many fond memories are cherished of this special evening together.

A committee of staff, parents and pupils work hard every year to make the event the success that has been enjoyed in the past and this year was no different.

One of the fine traditions of the matric ball is welcoming the Grade 12 parents to join the occasion and share the splendour of the evening with their son or daughter.

This year’s theme for the ball was the Parisian Peacock. The vibrant purple, blue, aqua and plum colours in the magnificent draping complimented the breathtaking decorations.

As tradition has it, the peacock is a sign of hope, good fortune and prosperity – all wished upon the student body.

The pupils looked absolutely stunning and glamorous in their attire. Their good behaviour at and during the ball must be commended.

Many thanks to all involved in organising and attending the ball – The Grade 11 matric ball committee.
