A MONTH ago my wife and I decided to take a trip, on our Honda Blackbird, from Cape Town to Richards Bay.

We safely arrived at our intended destination, but realised, a day before we were planning to leave to go home again, that something was seriously wrong with the brakes of the bike – this could not have come at a worse time.

We headed out for the bike shops in an effort to get the problem resolved ASAP.

We visited every bike shop in Richards Bay with no success with the exception of Yamaha!

When we got there and explained our dilemma to Shaun Palm, he immediately directed us to the mechanic, Torrin Wainwright, who was busy working on another bike.

After explaining our situation to Torrin, he immediately started working on the Blackbird – understanding that we were pressed for time.

He was busy the whole afternoon, but couldn’t sort out the problem.

What now – we had to leave the next morning? We decided to leave the bike at the shop for the evening.

The next morning at 9.45am we received a phone call from Torrin, stating that he had resolved the issue.

We were told we could collect the Blackbird.

We safely arrived back in Cape Town on our Honda with the help of Yamaha.

Thank you Yamaha Richard Bay for the great effort and going the extra mile for us – may your business be blessed!
