I FEEL for the residents of Birdswood who had to deal with the influx of people camping in front of their homes.
However, this should not be a surprise. Did anyone check whether there would be enough space for the thousands of people expected to park their vehicles.
Did anyone check whether ablution facilities had been arranged?
In fact, did anyone ask for an overall plan of how the Shembe organisers would cope with all the people?
I know the organisers of Splashy Ffen mucial festival which also attracts in the region of 10 000 people, and their organisation begins a year in advance.
