HARD work, sweat and determination has finally paid off for ex-Zululander Mthokozisi Mkhabela, who recently got the great news that he was elected to the final U20 Springbok rugby squad that will compete at the seventh annual IRB Junior World Cup in New Zealand in June.
Mkhabela attended Grantham Park Primary School before moving on to Glenwood High to finish his schooling career.
He played provincial rugby at all levels of his career and is currently plying his trade at the Cheetahs.
The talented scrumhalf raised eyebrows last year whilst playing for the Cheetahs U19 side, and continued his form this year while playing for the Shimlas Young Guns U20 outfit before getting his Bok call-up.
He will represent the U21 Currie Cup for the Cheetahs after the World Cup.
