One of South Africa's foremost wildlife and nature photographers, Lex Hes, will be heading down to Zululand in June.

ONE of South Africa’s foremost wildlife and nature photographers, Lex Hes, will be heading down to Zululand in June for the next annual wildlife photographic workshop in Tembe Elephant Park, Ndumo Game Reserve and the Kosi Bay lakes system.

Hes, a natural history expert and author of the acclaimed books, ‘Leopards of Londolozi’ and ‘The Complete Book of Southern African Mammals’, teams up with Zululand photojournalist and wildlife photographer, Anita de Villiers for the five-day workshop between 18 and 22 June, during which participants have the opportunity of sharpening their skills not only in wildlife photography, but also landscapes, nature and culture.

Apart from the Big Five opportunities in Tembe – which include southern Africa’s biggest tuskers – the Kosi Bay World Heritage site, famous for its pristine lakes, indigenous forests and the age-old fish kraals of the Tonga people, among others, provide photographers with a unique location for nature and birdlife photography under one ‘roof’.

The programme includes presentations, field instruction, evaluation and feedback on participants’ work.

Boith beginners and advanced photographers are welcome to attend.
