MORE and more incidents of road rage are been reported on a daily basis and while this is totally unacceptable, I do see why people react with anger.

Motorists do not drive defensively at all and most feel that they are the only vehicle on the road.

As motorists we are not courteous and we do not think of others.

Driving into Empangeni every morning, I see cars driving on parts of the John Ross Highway that they are not suppose to drive on and that have not been opened officially to vehicles as they are still working on the road.

This does not stop taxis though! At the traffic lights at the N2 turn-off, three lanes converge into one and while most motorist get in line and wait their turn, some motorists feel they are special and can just push in.

This creates a bottleneck affect which blocks the intersection and makes my blood boil.

We are all using the roads for more or less the same reasons, so why do some people feel they can drive like they want, where they want.

If we start taking a bit of time and thought about others, there would be less aggression, less accidents and traffic in general would flow a lot smoother.

Stop being selfish and remember there are millions of other motorists out there and, in the end, we all want to get to our destinations in one piece.

NO THOUGHT FOR OTHERS
