LIAM entered Grantleigh in Grade RR and his sporting prowess and athleticism were immediately evident.

He is now in Grade 9 and has built up a formidable set of sporting skills across a wide range of sporting codes.

Surfing is top of his list and his success in this field earned him selection to the KZN regional team and this recently saw him competing against France and the Proteas at New Pier in Durban where he progressed through to the quarter finals.

On the home front, Liam represents the school at cricket (U15A captain, bowling all-rounder), rugby (U14A 2013), athletics (KZN Sub-Youth League, high-jump with a personal best of 1.73m, SA Athletics -semi-final Boys U15 high jump, selected to represent KZN at the Inter-Provincial Schools Championships), soccer (U14).

Liam has set his sights on becoming a professional surfer and wants to remain involved with sports either through playing, coaching or training others.

The sports personalities he admires most are surfers Craig Anderson and Jordy Smith, cricketers- David Miller and Kyle Abbott, and rugby player Duane Vermeulen for his commitment at the tackle and break-down.
