THE Umlalazi Ski-Boat Club hosted its annual Couta Classic tournament last weekend attracting fishermen from all parts of South Africa.
This tournament was started in the early 80s and is now a big attraction on the Zululand fishing calendar.
Entertainment, food and prizes were on offer and the weather was perfect.
The first prize of R30 000 was won by Rod Nicholson when he landed a 29.6kg Couta. The second prize of R10 000 was won by Jessica Lawrie and the third prize of R5 000 was won by Pieter Van Niekerk.
Umlalazi Ski Boat club thanks its main sponsor Imperial Nissan Zululand whose support and sponsorship keeps the Couta Classic afloat.
