EFF condemns ‘acts of vandalism’
Party disassociates itself with spray-paint slogans.

The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) strongly condemned the defacing of walls, bridges and other structures in and around Empangeni during their media briefing on Wednesday.
Addressing the media, EFF uThungulu Region Organiser Nkululeko Ngubane said, ‘To put the record straight we disassociate ourselves from such acts of vandalism, and want to assure the beautiful people of uThungulu District we have nothing to do with those paintings,’ and added, ‘anyone can do it to disgrace the EFF’.
‘The EFF is a party for peace, and we love a clean environment. uThungulu is known as the tidiest district in the whole of KwaZulu-Natal,’ said election Co-ordinator Bongi Mgwaba.
‘All those leaders accused of corruption must leave office,’ the EFF said.
They issued their unequivocal support for the Public Protector Thuli Madonsela regarding Jacob Zuma’s R215 million home ‘security’ additions. ‘We are totally against a corrupt president, and publicly rebuke the ANC Youth League for insulting her.
‘We will always give the office of the Public Protector our undivided support for the sterling job she does bringing corrupt public officials to book.
‘People must lead by example, and as uThungulu District resident, Zuma must also respect the law, and must stop hiding behind Mandela’s name.’
They also complained about their election posters being removed in Nkandla, and ‘promised to fight fire with fire’ if they are refused campaigning in some areas, ‘as it happened at uMlalazi Municipality where we were recently stopped from campaigning’.
The EFF further vilified uMhlathuze Municipality for its poor service delivery record, threatening to write a letter asking the Public Protector to investigator it about corruption allegations within the municipality.
They invited all races within uThungulu District to join the EFF since, ‘It is a party for all. Julius Malema in the ANC is an old Malema, and the EFF Malema is a man for all who live in this country.’
