KWAZULU-NATAL Premier Mr Senzo Mchunu turned the sod at the site for a multi-million rand, state-of-the-art technical high school in Ntambanana.
Umgezane Technical High School will be a one of a kind institution in the district, boasting boarding establishments and offering technical stream training.
Mchunu said the school, which is already under construction, will assist in providing learning opportunities to young people from the district, who previously had to travel to Durban for such opportunities.
The sod turning was part of the Premier’s Operation Sukuma Sakhe visit to Uthungulu District.
