Tyrin Van Rooyen is the Supersport 'Lets play' sportsman of the month

SUPERSPORT, in conjunction with the Zululand Observer’s ‘Let’s Play Sports Star of the Month’ of March, has been announced. Tyrin Van Rooyen a 10-year-old Richards Bay sportsman has been given the coveted title and most definitely deserves it.

Tyrin, a pupil at Richards Bay Christian Academy, is an avid sportsman who is involved in swimming, rugby and athletics at his school and yet still finds time for his taekwando training.

In 2012 he received his KZN colours for taekwando and in 2013 he received his Veritas and National colours and has since been participating in national taekwando competitions.

When asked what his motto is, for life and sports practice, he replied, ‘To strive and be the best I can be.’

Vannessa Van Rooyen, Tyrins mother, said, ‘Tyrin has been involved in sports since the day he could walk and loves every minute of it.’
