THE sounds of family members cheering each other reverberated across the Empangeni Sports Club last weekend, as children from Oompaloompa Nursery School and their supportive family members took to the field in a sponsored fun walk.
The event, held in conjunction with Trelique Modelling and Promotions Agency, was held to create awareness against bullying.
The Human Rights Day weekend was the perfect time to hold this important awareness event, which saw young children and their siblings taking a pledge to refrain from bullying, and to uphold the rights of children.
