Sharks contracted players on the field at Empangeni Rugby Football Club
SHARKS contracted players Danie Minnie and Wian Hay came out to the Empangeni Rugby Football Club on Thursday evening to attend practice.
Currie Cup prop Minnie was in action, with Hay in the stadium supporting after nursing an ankle injury.
The Rhinos 1 and 2 players had a full on 80 minute crack at each other in a final trial game at Mick Kelly Park.
The game drew in a nice crowd, which was kept entertained with the big hits and individual talent on display.
Coaches took this game as the final leap before announcing the Rhinos 1 and 2 squad at practice on Tuesday.
The squad selected will travel up to Ballito on 29 March to take on Ballito Dolphins and Maritzburg Collegians in a pre-season friendly.
After this, a final squad of 30 will be announced that will attend a training camp at Futululu from 4-6 April.
The camp will focus on team building and working on structure.
The Rhinos will then kick off their 2014 campaign against College Rovers at Rovers in Durban on 12 April, followed by Durban Collegians at home on 24 April.
