Local beauty turns heads down under

Former Empangeni High School pupil models in Oz

AN ex-Zululand beauty, now living with her family in Australia, is on her way to becoming a top international model.

Francien Naude, who took her first steps on the ramp with Trelique Modelling & Promotions Agency, won the West Australia State Finals of ‘Australian Super Model of the Year’ in 2013, then went on to Sydney with an all-expenses paid trip for the finals where she was voted Most Popular Model.

Recently turned 21, the former Empangeni High School pupil and Dance Academy member still feels totally connected to Zululand and visited her friends and mentors here in December.

‘Francien has now been approached by some top agencies and we are so excited to see her make it as an international model – and we will always be there to advise her,’ said proud Trelique MD, Angelique Wright.

‘Francien was always such a dedicated and determined model and we are so pleased she is now taking all she has learnt from Trelique and applying it internationally to make her dreams come true.

‘She has linked with an agency in New Zealand and is on their international books and they want to send her to Asia.

‘She was also asked to go to the famous London Fashion Week 2014, but sadly missed out because her visa didn’t arrive on time.’

However, Francien has made her way into the Top Model Worldwide professional model search, which will reach its climax at the Hilton London Metropole Grand Finals on 4 and 5 April.
