Mini cricket big zeal
Felixton College Mini Cricket Festival on Tuesday saw schools from all over Zululand come to play
SCHOOLS from throughout Zululand sent their mini cricket teams to compete at the Felixton College Mini Cricket Festival on Tuesday at Felixton.
The age groups that competed were girls and boys U7, U8 and U9 and who played two games each.
All players showed off their talents when batting and bowling, bringing smiles to their coaches’ faces.
At this level the rules are simple.
Cricket is always the winner, every child bowls and bats for six balls and friendships and camaraderie is promoted among schools.
The schools that attended the festival were – Felixton College, Empangeni Christian School, Richards Bay Christian School, Heuwelland, St Catherine’s School, Grantleigh College, Mtubatuba Christian School, Sagewood Primary School, Hluhluwe Primary School, Thuthukani Primary School, Holy Childhood School, Mtunzini Primary School, Thakasani Primary School and Ncombo Primary School.
