LOCAL Heuwelland School Principal Wynand Strydom had a bite taken out of his ‘Fish birthday cake’ before he could even blow out the candles.
Richards Bay skipper Lucas Landman took his mate deep seas fishing on 7 February on the boat ‘Knot Guilty’.
Strydom was onto something when his line took off, but found that when he landed the Couta, a shark had made a meal of his prize catch.
After a hard day’s fishing, Wynand had to settle for celebrating his birthday with sushi for dinner with his mates.
