Highest paid athletes for 2020
Michael Jordan was the first athlete to earn more than $30-million per year

FORMER Chicago Bulls NBA player Michael Jordan has topped the overall earnings list for sportsmen in 2020, with a net worth of $2.2-billion.
Jordan was the first athlete to earn more than $30-million per year.
So, is Jordan the richest athlete in human history?
Technically no, not even by a long shot.
That accolade belongs to a Roman charioteer named Gaius Appuleius Diocles, who lived in 104 AD.
Over the course of his career, Diocles reportedly won 35 863 120 sesterces (Roman coins). Adjusted for inflation, his total winnings equal $15-billion.
On the current modern-day list, Romanian professional tennis player Ion Tiriac is in second place with $1.2-billion.
Soccer ace Cristiano Ronaldo just slipped into tenth spot with $460-million.
