This followed a tip-off pertaining to armed suspects who were preparing to attack their neighbour in the Obhokweni area in Mhlabathini.

Zululand Police cluster spokesperson, Captain Nkosie Gwala, said the area is experiencing faction fights between two families.
‘Last month a local induna was killed. During last week’s arrest police recovered a .38 special revolver with five live rounds of ammunition and a 7.65mm pistol with seven rounds of ammunition.
The serial numbers on both weapons had been filed off,’ said Gwala.
Ballistics tests will be conducted to determine whether the firearms have been used in any criminal activity.
