Kwaito meets poetry collaboration

KWAITO artist Njabulo ‘Ma-Afrika’ Mpanza has joined forces with well-known poet Thandie Mbokazi for their new collaboration, ‘feeling high’, released last week.

The duo, originally from eSikhaleni, said their new sound include the unique kwaito element fused with African poetry.

Thandie, known for her story-telling and poetry, showcases her vocal skill.

‘We both wanted to do something together for a while, so when an opportunity presented itself, we just grabbed it and worked in the studio.

‘We worked well together and hope to to more in future,’ said Njabulo.

The two artists have shared the stage with Chaos, Cap, Black Coffee, Bullistic and many more. The single is now available on You Tube and receiving airplay on local radio stations.
