‘It is frustrating because it appears as if the municipal workers either can’t identify the problem, or they are simply not doing their jobs.
‘Many people here have children and like myself, have been forced to adapt. I generally fill bottles of water when we do have it to store so that I can bath my son. This should not be the case because the last time we checked, water was supposed to be an essential commodity.’
The resident said whenever they phoned the municipality to lodge complaints, they received different explanations about the causes of the problem. This has led residents to believe that they are being fed excuses.
City Communications Manager Mdu Ncalane said he was not aware of any water issues at Felixton, but that he would follow up with the relevant department.
