Food parcels donation to destitute Sangoyana residents
This came as a huge relief to the many local families who have no source of income, while many others only survive through social grants
ABOUT 120 families in the Bhiliya area in Sangoyana benefited from a grocery and sanitiser donation by Ka-Mayaluza Security Services on Friday.
This came as a huge relief to the many local families who have no source of income, while many others only survive through social grants.

The handover was held at the Bhiliya community hall and the organisers also invited community health care workers to educate community members about the danger of Covid-19 and preventative measures to be taken.
Community worker Mjabuliseni Qwabe told residents about the importance of complying with the lockdown regulations, as these were introduced to help protect them.
Ka-Mayaluza Security Services CEO, Sibusiso Ngubane, said his company decided to give back to rural communities.
‘We chose this area because most residents are unemployed. Children are living with their grandparents and when they are hungry, they go out to beg for food at neighbours and by so doing, put their lives in danger.
‘We wish to return and donate more food in this area for at least another three months.
He warned that if people do not adhere to calls to stay at home, the government may be forced to extend the lockdown.
One beneficiary, Nonhlanhla Mdlolo (45), said the groceries will go a long way to keep his children indoors and happy.
‘As we speak, I don’t have anything to cook for my family. My husband is not working, so we do not have any source of income, except the child support grants,’ she said.
